Melody’s Ad Works, Inc./Melody Brunsting won Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Polaris awards for the 2017 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival Press Kit and Broadcast Media Relations at the PRSA-Inland Empire Annual Awards Banquet in November 2017.
Independently judged by the Central Michigan chapter of PRSA, 61 entries in various categories were judged based upon research, planning, execution, evaluation, and outcome. The Polaris is the highest award in each category based upon total points earned. Melody’s Ad Works, Inc was one of nine entries in the Inland Empire.
The 2017 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival press kit had followed the Festival theme of “Be There. Why Not?” and included a bumble bee cork wine stopper with the media kit. The marketing materials presented to PRSA contained all press releases, public service announcements, audio and video clips, photos and other pertinent information on a flash drive that was encased in the Bumble Bee Wine Stopper.
The press kit and media relations also won top honors from the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) in September 2017. The 2017 campaign generated 82.625 million impressions and an ad value equivalent of $1,093,852.
Brunsting is among 5,000 active accredited Public Relations Practitioners (APR), as designated by the Public Relations Society of America. Accreditation is given to professionals who successfully complete a comprehensive examination process, and demonstrate their knowledge, experience, skills, and abilities in communication theory, planning, management science and practice of public relations.
