Temecula Presents and the California Chamber Orchestra Explore Classical Music Together

The Old Town Temecula Community Theater invites Temecula residents and visitors as Temecula Presents collaborates with the California Chamber Orchestra for the 2018-2019 Classical Series.

The Exploring Together themed Season launches on SAT, OCT 6, 2018 at 7:30pm with the Telegraph Quartet. The concert open with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s lyrical String Quartet in D major, K. 575 “The Prussian,” followed by Erwin Schulhoff’s Five Pieces for string quartet, a collection of spirited and colorful dances. The quartet concludes the program with Antonin Dvořák’s warm and playful String Quartet No. 10 in E-flat Major, Op. 51 “Slavonic.” The Telegraph Quartet first appeared at Carnegie Hall in Weill Recital Hall in 2015 along with violinist Ian Swensen and pianist Jeff LaDeur. The Quartet will return to Carnegie Hall in 2018 for its Naumburg Award Recital featuring the World Premiere of Robert Sirota’s third string quartet.

Continue the exploration with the California Chamber Orchestra as they take us on a music-filled journey around the globe. Experience a world premiere and discover what may be the greatest symphony you have never heard. Each concert takes us somewhere familiar on the way to something new and unique. “I am so excited to be your guide for this musical journey. At each stop along the way, I’ll put the music in context with stories about the history, art, people and places that helped shape what we’re hearing,” says Dana Zimbric, Artistic Director and Conductor of the California Chamber Orchestra. “There is nothing like live music!

It’s our privilege to bring these world class performances to the community.” The California Chamber Orchestra will present four performances this season: Places on NOV 3, 2018; Gifts in partnership with David Wells and the Temecula Valley Master Chorale on DEC 1, 2018; Love with cellist Lars Hoefs on FEB 2, 2019; and Connections on APR 27, 2019. Temecula Presents’ 14th Classical
