Temecula Valley B&W Festival Donates Over $90,000 to Local Organizations During Appreciation Dinner

The Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival Association honored sponsors and volunteer chairperson at their annual Appreciation Dinner, Thursday, August 30. During the dinner more than $90,000 was donated to local organizations.

Recipients included Temecula Valley High School Golden Bear Foundation, GOALS, Wine Town Rollers, Caring Hearts for Veterans & Community, Murrieta Mesa Baseball Club, 11th Marines Cannon Cockers, Friends of the Stampede (Marines), Murrieta Valley High School/USMC – JROTC, Lake Elsinore Baseball, Elsinore Aquatics, Elsinore Girls’ Softball, Elsinore Girls’ Tennis, Aviation Explorers, Wine Town Rollers, and Community Advisory Board of San Diego California Conservation Corps.

The 2018 Festival was held June 1-3 and celebrated 35 years of promoting the valley while enhancing the charitable, cultural, educational and economic development of the region. With a $1.5 million annual budget, the Festival spends more than $1 million locally in goods, services, and facilities.

The Festival introduced their 2018-19 board of directors and officers. Serving on the executive board are chairman Brian Keefer, vice-chairman Peggy Evans, treasurer Lynn Shaver and secretary Beverly Voechting. Also serving on the board are Brett Davidson, Scott Soares, Sr., William Babb and Camille Lester.

The Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival returns to Lake Skinner Recreation area, in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country on May 31-June 2, 2019. Located just north of San Diego County. The Festival has a successful history of celebrating Southern California Wine Country’s finest assets of clear skies dotted by hot air balloons, mild temperatures, and rolling vineyards.
