Start the New Year Off with Art, Culture, and Entertainment at Art Off the Walls at The Merc

The City of Temecula, Community Services Department’s Art and Culture Team is excited to announce that the award-winning monthly event, Art Off the Walls, will be held in one central location at The Merc (42051 Main Street) in Old Town Temecula starting on January 4, 2019.

This historic brick building serves as the space for The Gallery at The Merc and several musical and dance performances. The artistic vibe of this venue will complement and enhance the overall atmosphere of Art Off the Walls.

To kick off the fifth year of Art Off the Walls, the Temecula Art and Culture team will host an artist reception for painter Bonnie Martland at The Gallery at The Merc on January 4, 2019 from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Bonnie is a multi-talented artist who has lived in the Temecula Valley for thirty-six years. She taught art for 32 years, 28 in the Temecula School District. Now retired, she spends her time painting and volunteering for a number of local organizations. Join Bonnie as she unveils her exhibit and offers insight into her original pieces.

From 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, in the Cabaret of The Merc, guests can enjoy live music performances by guitarists Bob Bozonelos and Mike Wojniak. Be the first to view the new Cabaret Art Show and see art displays from a variety of local artists. Refreshments will be provided at this free event.

Your visit to Art Off the Walls supports the growing local arts community. These creative community gatherings provide opportunities for local artists to display their fine art and local entertainers to perform for guests and share their talents with residents and visitors.
