Thrills & Chills all for a Good Cause

JDS Creative Academy (JDSCA), a nonprofit 501(c)3, is set to turn JDS Studios, a 7,000 sq. ft. production space into one of the scariest Halloween activities in the Valley. In prior years, the public has experienced a Haunted Gallery, Hollywood Horror, and a Walking Dead Zombie Invasion of TV’s scariest shows.

This year’s theme is yet to be revealed…The Haunted Studio Production begins October 2nd, with a class who will create this spooky experience for the public to enjoy. Education is at the core of all things that happen at JDS Creative Academy. In this production, students take part in the creation of haunted spaces, build terrifying mazes, learn skills in set design, work with special EFX makeup, create costumes, ghoulish characters and vignettes that are sure to terrify. If you are a Halloween enthusiast – be part of the Design, Build and Haunt.

Truth be told, this event is a major fundraiser for JDS Creative Academy who, throughout the year provide theatrical programs and workshops for students looking to enhance their creative arts skills. The funds raised over the two-day haunt provide scholarships for foster and at-risk youth along with those who have financial limitations to participate in their programs. JDSCA Founder Diane Strand says this is one of her favorite fundraising events of the year! The entire facility comes to life. From the minute you enter the grounds attendees are greeted with music, treats, sights and sounds.

“I love that the community gets involved, we encourage our local high school students looking for community service hours to join us the final week leading up to the haunt. We need lots of horrifying creatures to lurk in the fog and hide in every nook and cranny of the studio. ‘Fun-Raising’ events like this allow us to offer classes to some of our more vulnerable youth in the region,” said Strand.

Fun for all ages, get in the Halloween Spirit and join us for our cause! Screams will be heard October 25th & 26th, 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm at JDS Studios 28069 Diaz Road in Temecula. If you are of the faint of heart…ask for our safe word. For those who dare to enter, there is a $5 Door Donation.

This event is made possible by our sponsors: JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc., Law Offices of Rosenstein & Associates, and SoundSkilz, Inc. For details on sponsorship opportunities, the Haunted Studio Production Class, or tickets visit their website jdscreativeacademy.org or phone 951-296-6715.
