Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, U.S.A. – The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) awarded the 2019 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival with three honors of excellence on Sept. 25, 2019. The Festival won Gold Pinnacle awards for the Best Media Relations Campaign and Social Media Campaign. A Silver Pinnacle award was given for the 2019 Festival’s website.
IFEA recognized the most outstanding examples of quality and creativity in the festivals and events industry during the awards. The professional competition draws entries from some of the world’s top festivals and events including the Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin, OH; the OC Fair in Costa Mesa, CA; the Des Moines Arts Festival, Des Moines, IA; the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC; the Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, KY; the Pasadena Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, CA; the Winter Festival of Lights at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada; and the Memphis in May International Festival.
International winners truly spanned the globe with diverse entertainment from RedFilo Events, Abu Dhabi, UAE; Destination NSW, Sydney, Australia; Cuckoo Events, Dublin, Ireland; Festival Lent, Maribor, Slovenia; Geumsan Insam Festival in Gangeneung-si, South Korea; and the Hanseong Baekje Cultural Festival, Songpa-gu, South Korea. IFEA awards were presented in 69 different categories in total including Best TV Promotion, Social Media Sit, Sponsorship Program, Social Media Campaign, Website and Merchandise. Each category is then divided according to four budget categories with the Festival competing in the $1 million to $3 million category.
The winning entries were produced by two local firms.
Public Ad Agency of Murrieta created the 2019 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival website at tvbwf.com. Melody’s Ad Works, Inc of Wildomar, the Festival’s public relations firm, created the award-winning media relations campaign and social media campaign. This is the seventh straight year that the Festival has won best media relations
The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival has won over 40 IFEA Awards since 2009 and competes against the world’s top festivals and events. At the Festival’s annual sponsor recognition party several non-profit organizations received donations from the 2019 event.
