Since its inception, JDS Creative Academy (JDSCA) has been dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for the creative arts. The nonprofit founders have helped launch over one hundred successful careers in the digital, visual, and performing arts industries. Through its tireless efforts, JDSCA aims to cultivate a diverse, empowered, and vibrant arts community. By supporting creatives at every stage of their journey, the organization is not only encouraging individual talent but also contributing to its passionate mission to spread the arts across America.
Last year, they rebranded their magazine-style television series, Spirit of Innovation: News and Information, to Spirit of Innovation: Arts Across America. This change represents the organization’s mission to spread the arts nationwide. The show also serves as a key component of JDSCA’s Title-17 job training program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This innovative program focuses on workforce development by teaching both technical and soft skills, providing valuable resume-building experiences that can lead to employment in the arts and media industries. By fostering creativity within an underserved community, JDSCA demonstrates how the arts can empower all individuals, highlighting the belief that creativity can positively impact everyone, regardless of their background or abilities.
JDSCA offers a wide range of unique classes including musical theater, backstage production, fashion design, scriptwriting, and filmmaking. These programs provide the Temecula Valley with the extracurricular creative arts classes the region was previously lacking. Additionally, JDSCA hosts the annual DigiFest® Temecula, a multimedia festival that brings in digital content creators and industry professionals for a weekend of networking and entertainment. Creatives are invited and encouraged to submit their work in multiple digital media categories including Short Film & Video, Graphic Design, Game Design, Music, Photography, Digital Art & Illustration, Podcasts, Website Design, Animation & Stop Motion, Music Video, Acting, and Scriptwriting. Those who submit have the chance to win a prestigious Digi Award, an Honorable Mention, and/or a People’s Choice. Submissions are open now at https://filmfreeway.com/DigiFestTemecula. This event extends JDSCA’s reach beyond the local community, drawing attendees and submitters from across the state, nation, and even globally. DigiFest® Temecula embodies JDSCA’s mission to spread the arts across America, connecting like-minded individuals and promoting a vibrant, creative community.
The nonprofit wants to invite you to its next major creative arts event, the annual Haunted Studio. This is a fundraiser that was developed to raise money for the organization and provide a fun community event while providing a learning opportunity through a unique class called, Design / Build / HAUNT. This is where students help create their own Halloween-themed nightmare and turn it into a hair-raising spectacle! Come support JDSCA’s mission and the dedicated students by attending the 9th annual Haunted Studio “Fun-Raiser” on October 25th and 26th. The spooktacular chills start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday night, guaranteeing a frightful evening for all to enjoy! This is a family-friendly event so for those who require a less terrifying experience, there will be a “Ghostbusters” entrance that provides a calmer atmosphere while upholding the spine-chilling theme. Entry is only $5 per person. Plus, don’t forget to indulge in the delicious bake sale. All proceeds go towards supporting the nonprofit scholarship fund. Your contribution will help JDSCA’s mission to spread the arts throughout the community!
Enter if you dare! Experience a night of thrills and chills at the Haunted Studio fundraiser. Tickets are now available for purchase at jdscreativeacademy.org and will be available at the door.
