Chefs from across Southern California will compete in the 6th Annual Chef Open event benefiting Oak Grove Center for Education, Treatment & The Arts on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Pechanga Resort & Casino. The event will begin at approximately 4:30 p.m., following the 11th Annual Oak Grove Golf Classic presented by Lexus of Riverside. Proceeds from both fundraisers will benefit the sports and autism programs at Oak Grove Center.
2013 Participating Chefs – The So-Cal Chef Open invites chefs from the region to compete in a cooking competition where attendees vote on their favorite culinary creation. The chef receiving the most votes from event attendees will be crowned “Top Chef” in Southern California. In addition, a second award named “The Judges Pinnacle Award”, based on presentation, creativity and taste, will be awarded by several regional judges including Chef Leah DiBernardo from E.A.T. Marketplace and Chef Francesco Cusimano from Rustico’s Italiano & Pizzeria (2012 So-Cal Top Chef winner).

Executive Chef Steve Stawinski – Wilson Creek Winery
Additionally, delicious desserts will be provided by Pechanga Resort & Casino’s Executive Pastry Chef, Frania Mendivil.
