The Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival held their sponsor appreciation dinner recently and awarded three organizations with donations.
The Murrieta Mesa High School Booster club received $3,500. The organization volunteers at the Festival as the “Beautification Committee” otherwise known as three days of trash duty. For three days of manning parking lots and smiling with dust in their teeth, the Great Oak High School Baseball team and boosters received $8,000.
The largest cash award went to the Marine Corp Air Station Ball Fund, $32,000. The Marines provided security at the 30th annual event held May 31-June 2.
