The Rotary Club of Temecula’s 4th Annual Rotary Taste of the World fundraiser and gala will be held March 21st at South Coast Winery & Resort. This multi-cultural event features international cuisine from 17 area restaurants and caterers, micro-brewed beer, local wine, and a wide range of cultural entertainment Tickets are on sale now for the 4th Annual Rotary Taste of the World – an international food, music and wine extravaganza to be held at South Coast Winery & Resort on Friday, March 21.
Last year’s event, put on by the Rotary Club of Temecula, sold out a month in advance. Tickets are $60 each and include international food samplings from 15+ restaurants, a glass of local craft beer or wine, and live entertainment. This year’s lineup includes Caribbean steel drum music, American Hip Hop dance, Italian opera in the style of il Divo, and a performance of the Argentine tango by World Champion dancers.
Exquisite fare from local restaurants features dishes from Italy, Mexico, India, Japan, Russia, Greece, American BBQ and more. Desserts are plentiful, along with local craft beer and wine. The first glass is included in the ticket price. $10 raffle tickets are also available now for a week in Hawaii at a Hilton Vacation Resort – need not be present to win.
To raise money for its local and international service projects, the Temecula Rotary features a Live and Silent auction at the event. Past packages have included L.A. Lakers tickets, wine tours, beer tours, weekend getaways to wine country and Big Bear, dinner parties, and enticing baskets of local goods and services.
Funds raised will support Rotary’s local high school scholarships, food baskets and gifts for the needy in our community, youth leadership camps, and local military families and wounded warriors. The club’s international endeavors support child nutrition in Africa, a clean water project for tribal children in Thailand, and a school in Tijuana, Mexico, among others.
