Pennypickle’s Workshop, Temecula’s award- winning science-based Children’s Museum located at 42081 Main Street, Old Town Temecula, is proud to announce its 10th anniversary on June 25th. To celebrate, the Friends of the Temecula Children’s Museum will be hosting 10 days of wacky fun and surprises from June 20 through June 29.
The eccentric Professor Phineus T. Pennypickle’s home workshop is filled with inventions, gadgets, and gizmos guaranteed to interest children of all ages and fascinate their parents as well. Children sense, but don’t ever see, the Professor’s presence throughout the “house” as they discover inventions like his time machine, magnetic kitchen sink, “Phil-harmonica-matic” piano, peanut-butter-and-jelly-sandwich-making-machine, and the “beryllium conjunctifier”. The Professor’s good friend and companion, “Beaker”, a small field mouse who nestles in the pocket of his lab coat and accompanies him on his adventures, can possibly be spotted hanging around the museum or gift shop.
Pennypickle’s 10th Anniversary Science-Events-Extravaganza will include activities such as a Time Travel Party for grown-ups, the Making Stuff with N8 Science Camp, the Amazing Science Show, and the Building-Crazy-Contraptions Family Workshop.
All proceeds from the Science-Events-Extravaganza benefit additional science-based programming at the Temecula Children’s Museum. For more information and tickets, please visit www.pennypickles.org , or call (951) 308-6376.
