As the Olympics Come to LA, Inclusion Begins Here at Home

In 2028, the world will turn its eyes to Los Angeles as the Olympic Games celebrate athletic excellence and the power of the human spirit. Here in the Inland Empire, those same values are lived out every day through Special Olympics Southern California.

Special Olympics provides children and adults with intellectual disabilities the opportunities to play sports, build confidence, and belong. It is not just about competition—it is about friendship, dignity, and the belief that every person deserves to be seen and celebrated.

This mission comes to life through strong partnerships with schools, law enforcement, volunteers, and local businesses. Our Unified School Programs bring students of all abilities together year-round, creating inclusive campuses where differences are embraced and leadership is grown.

The excitement begins with Spring Games on April 11 at Murrieta Mesa High School, followed by the Polar Plunge in Big Bear and Fontana on April 18–19. Later this year, Fall Games will take place at Galloway Downs in Wine Country and Big League Dreams in Perris, continuing a tradition of courage and community across the region.
