The 10th Annual Subaru Share the Love Event was a tremendous success. 23.9 million dollars we donated to the four Subaru National Sponsors (ASPCA, Make-A-Wish-Foundation, Meals on wheels, National Park Foundation) and 15.2 million to local Hometown Charities.
During the campaign, which ran from November thru December of 2017, John Hine Temecula Subaru raised over $22,000 for their local chosen charity, Assistance League of Temecula Valley. “This is the 5th year John Hine Temecula Subaru has had the opportunity to take part in this wonderful Subaru Campaign” said Bill Brumbaugh, Vice President and General Manager at John Hine Temecula Subaru. “Since 2007, our first year in the Temecula Valley, with the help of our loyal Hine customers, we’ve donated over $76,000 to directly helping families and children in need right here in the Temecula Valley. Assistance League has been such a fantastic partner and we are looking forward to an exciting year in 2018.”

Assistance League is a nonprofit service organization of volunteers committed to identifying and serving the needs of the Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and Romoland communities through philanthropic programs developed and administered by its members. Operation School Bell, its main philanthropic program, identifies low-income school children (K-12) in the five school districts within their service area who are then able to select new school clothing and shoes of their choosing free of charge at local department stores. This fiscal year, 2017/2018, Operation School Bell provided 2,217 low-income students with brand new school clothing.
“We are truly appreciative of the continuing support of John Hine Temecula Subaru,” said Electra Demos, Assistance League Past President/Community Ambassador. “The funds received from the Share the Love event will enable Assistance League to reach out to more children and families in need.”
Assistance League Thrift Shop, 28720 Via Montezuma, Temecula, is their main fundraiser. Last year, chapter members volunteered over 31,000 hours of community service on behalf of local families in need.
