Looking to volunteer your talents? We’ve got just the place. For over 60 years, the Orange Empire Railway Museum (OERM), has provided a hands-on railway experience to generations young and old alike. Located in Perris California, OERM has over 100 acres devoted to full-scale trains, model trains, city trolleys and related equipment Open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas, visitors and guests can ride the trains and trolleys each weekend for a nominal price. Memberships are available, and volunteers are always needed.
A non-profit, 501 (c) 3, OERM is currently accepting volunteer applications. Assistance is needed in guest relations, guest experience, mechanics, painters, electricians, other trades and general administration.
OERM has a number of railway collections that include:
• Pacific Electric Red Cars
• LA Railway Yellow Cars
• Other Electric Railways
• Santa Fe Railway
• Southern Pacific Railway
• Union Pacific Railway

Another hidden treasure on the OERM campus is the Fred Harvey Museum. Managed and operated by the Harvey Girls Historical Society (HGHS), this beautiful facility goes beyond displays and memorabilia, to take you back in time to an era of good service and gracious dining. HGHS is also accepting new members and volunteers.
