Temecula’s ‘2019 State of The City Coveted Centerpiece Winner’
JDS Creative Academy Founder and Executive Director, Diane Strand, announced her excitement at having been awarded the Mayor’s Choice Award during the 2019 Temecula State of The City Address on May 30th at Pechanga Resort and Casino. The competition has been a part of Temecula’s State of the City Address for the last 3 years with dozens of Temecula’s charity organizations and local businesses competing every year for the coveted titles.
The Mayor announced two awards during the State of the City: The Mayor’s Choice Award – Awarded to
JDS Creative Academy and the Community Choice Award which went to Grapeline Tours for their never- ending bottle of wine.
According to Diane Strand, “The entire team from JDS Creative Academy had a part to play in our winning centerpiece this year.
We wanted to create something that highlighted all the divisions within JDS Studios by incorporating elements from our JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc., JDS Actors Studio, JDS Creative Academy, our LIVE Program – Spectrum of InnovationTM and DigiFestTM Temecula – our 3 Day Industry Conference & Festival. There were so many beautiful entries, we did not think our Hi-Tech and more ‘craftier’ entry would win…so our cheers were quite loud when Mayor Naggar announced JDS Creative Academy for The Mayor’s Choice Award!”
Temecula Mayor Mike Naggar, in his fifth rotation as Mayor, talked about LOVE during his address this year. “We have a lot of love happening here in the city – this city is a city full of love,” Naggar said. “Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you, it is perfect.”
JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc., one of the JDS entities highlighted on the Creative Academy’s centerpiece, produced the I LOVE Temecula Video for the State of The City event. Love is a big part of what JDS Studios is all about, so they couldn’t agree more!
