Temecula’s Man of Music Offering Christmas Specials

All about music is an understatement concerning Kenneth Rice, the owner/operator of The Little Shop of Horns in Temecula for over 20 years and with Christmas coming, consider giving the gift of music.

When his shop first opened, Ken had just completed many years of extensive repair training from Manny Gavriolov at the Horn Connection in Hollywood Ca. where world famous horn players are still clients to this day. Ken said ” No longer just horns, we now offer weekly, or monthly music lessons for all ages on wind instruments, guitar, piano, drums, violin and voice. My shop is also best known for GUARANTEED repairs and complete overhauls, American made sales, consignments, and even month to month rentals, for those who are just not sure about music, but usually are sure after their first try. “

He Always offers One on One professional service and especially loves to find older instruments and bring them back to life, many of which are donated to his business. The quaint shop walls are covered with personally autographed GREAT entertainers that Ken has worked with as a musician, and repair man.

Also displayed are his 3 inductions into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame certificates.

He is extremely proud of many of his past students who are now professional players, college professors of music, and some who even bring their children to him for lessons. Many attend his live performances and are invited to “Sit In” with him because when the shop closes, nightly his music life is usually just beginning. “I am rejuvenated by being blessed to perform live at so many wonderful venues and private party events either as a single or with full band.”

While entertaining weekly, Ken Rice proudly wears one of his three Presidential Citation pins. Although he loves to perform his “original music” the audience will be dancing and listening to him sing and play everything from Sinatra to current day hits.

By visiting his web site or his beloved Temecula shop, one will see the greats Ken has performed with or opened for around the globe like the O’Jays, Temptations, Gloria Gaynor, Little Richard, Ella Fitzgerald, to name just a few. Although he calls himself “Simply Sax” his students respectfully call him “Mr. Kenny” justifiably so.
