Brad Neet has been promoted to Group Vice President, Southern California for Universal Health Services’ Acute Care Division after serving as Southwest Healthcare System’s Chief Executive Officer since 2013. Neet succeeds Mike Fencel who retired on March 31, after 37 years in the healthcare industry, including six years at UHS. Succeeding Neet, Jared Giles has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer, Southwest Healthcare System (SWHS) effective March 30, 2020. Giles assumes responsibility for overseeing operations at both the Rancho Springs Medical Center campus and Inland Valley Medical Center campus.
As Group Vice President, Neet will provide strategy, business and operational oversight for the company’s hospitals across the Southern California market, namely Temecula Valley Hospital, Southwest Healthcare System (Rancho Springs Medical Center and Inland Valley Medical Center campuses), Corona Regional Medical Center and Palmdale Regional Medical Center. Additionally, he will oversee the affiliated Ambulatory Care assets and growth strategies across the Southern California region.
Neet joined UHS in 2013 as CEO of Rancho Springs Medical Center. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to CEO of Southwest Healthcare System, overseeing strategic planning and operation of the delivery of care for both Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.
Prior to UHS, Neet held senior positions in healthcare administration, including serving as President & CEO for Mary Lanning Healthcare where he was responsible for the acute care hospital, a home health division and multiple provider clinics, including rural health outreach clinics and outpatient care facilities. Prior appointments included five years at Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital (Stevens Point, WI), six years at St. Anthony’s Medical Center (St. Louis, MO) and nine years at Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (Houston, TX).
Neet is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He earned his MBA from the University of Houston in Clear Lake, Texas and BS in Nursing from Indiana State University. He prides himself in community involvement and over the years has served as board member of hospital associations, business councils, chambers and local nonprofit organizations. He values education and has provided community presentations on healthcare.
Giles joined SWHS in March of 2012, as Chief Operating Officer of Rancho Springs and was promoted to oversee operations at both Rancho and Inland in 2014. Since joining SWHS, Giles has been instrumental in bringing new programs and services to the community, overseeing multiple construction projects, providing leadership to local non-profit organizations, as well as contributing to the improved financial, quality and experience achievements at SWHS. Prior to SWHS, Giles served as Associate Administrator at Corona Regional Medical Center.
Giles has over 20 years of healthcare experience, having held leadership positions in for-profit, non-profit and faith-based organizations in Minnesota, Idaho and California. He earned his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota and his Bachelor of Science in Community Health/Business from Brigham Young University. Giles holds Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
