Judy Zulfiqar Rotary Club of Temecula President

For the 2020-2021 year, Judy Zulfiqar takes the helm of The Rotary Club of Temecula.

Born in New Mexico and raised on a farm in the ‘Show Me’ state – Missouri, Judy’s common-sense leadership style will help Rotary continue to provide Service Above Self. Judy’s upbringing has provided her tenacity, innovation, strategy and adaptation. Immediately after high school, she ventured to California and juggled school and work as a 911 operator.

“Working in the emergency response profession taught me to think quickly and be decisive – skills that are critically important today,” said Judy. “The COVID-19 pandemic, civil unrest and current economic conditions were unexpected and require us to think differently while still serving our community.  Along with my Board and Club members, we are doing just that.”

Over 100 members strong, The Rotary Club of Temecula  has served the Temecula Valley since 1975 – fourteen years before Temecula became a city.  For over 45 years, The Club has invested many thousands of dollars, thousands of volunteer hours, and provided priceless mentorship and leadership opportunities into our community.  Rotary creates a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change: across the globe, in our communities, and first and foremost in ourselves.

Judy is the Chief Strategist for Watermark Associates and has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Temecula since 2002.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for Outdoor Adventures by Boojum and has served on the Temecula Valley Hospital Community Advisory Board, the Oak Grove Center Advisory Board, the Board of Directors for Safe Alternatives for Everyone and the membership committee for the Temecula Chamber of Commerce.  Judy earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.  She has lived in the Temecula Valley since 1998 where she raised her two children, Miquella and Jordan.

“I am humbled and proud to be part of the Rotary Club of Temecula and Rotary International.” Judy stated.  “I am awed by what we have been able to accomplish in our local community and around the world, even when it has meant doing things a little differently!”

The Rotary Club of Temecula meets every Wednesday at 12 noon; virtually, and in person when possible.  For more information visit http://rotarycluboftemecula.com/ or call (951) 434-4630.
