City of Temecula Introduces Temecula Cares: A 21 Day Challenge

With all of the chaos and uncertainty in our world and daily lives, there has never been a better time to refocus on you! The City of Temecula is offering a fun “challenge” to help you and your family engage both physically and mentally in a variety of daily activities, with chances to win prizes each week. Temecula Cares: A 21 Day Challenge for a Healthy Body & Mind is a free program, open for all ages, started on March 1, 2021.

The City of Temecula Community Services Department has planned activities for the first 21 days in March. As you engage in these activities to better your body and soul, you will be eligible to win fun prizes! Submit photos of yourself completing the daily challenges to track your participation and earn entries for a weekly prize drawing. Prizes include gift cards, beach chairs, City swag, and more!

Temecula City Council Member, Jessica Alexander states, “During times like these, activities that focus on our physical and mental health can be very beneficial to our overall wellbeing. The 21 Day Challenge is a perfect way to help inspire everyone in your household to be more active and live a healthier lifestyle. Participants are going to love the activities we have planned focusing on nutrition, physical activity, creativity, and mindfulness. I would like to personally challenge our community to come together and participate in this fun, healthy, community-based challenge.”

This program has options for individuals and families for all 21 days including art, fitness, and fun! Some highlights to look forward to are free yoga classes with instructor Kristi Cox, art lessons from local professional artist, Tony Moramarco (AKA Bigfoot), Family Fitness with Brooke Groepper, a virtual St. Patrick’s Day Themed concert, a fun scavenger hunt, and more! The full schedule and details will be available upon registration.

Daily emails with additional information about the challenge will be provided. Temecula Cares about the health of our community. We hope you will join us in making these 21 days of 2021, fun-filled for your body and mind!
