2023 Gift Tech Ideas

In this high-tech environment we live, it gets harder to find the perfect gift.  With so many using technology in everyday life it seems like there is nothing new to buy them.  Let’s try a different perspective this year.  Consider what technology currently being used that has been improved with added functionality and due for replacement.  Here are some examples.

Printers have been used since the first days of personal computers.  Available now are instant printers that allow high quality printing from anywhere.  Having a “hard-copy” of photos at an event can be fun to share, post on the wall of an office, place into a scrap book or send to those without access to an internet device.  3D printers continue to improve and become more affordable allowing the creation of small objects useable for school and work projects.

Bluetooth speakers continue to evolve.  Someone you know may be using an older model that doesn’t have the quality available today.  In addition, designers have become more creative too.  For example there is a Bluetooth Igloo ice chest that not only keeps your food cool but also allows the playing of cool tracks from a phone or other device.  For those still wired to turntables there’s a wide selection of Bluetooth players available.

Shopping in the tech aisle will reveal an abundance of wall and travel chargers that have been taken to a new level.  Choose the combination of inputs needed.   Many will protect your devices from power surges.  These devices are something not thought about until they break so giving one or two of these may save someone from the panic of not being able to charge their all-important device.

Here some other ideas that may replace an outdated device or way of doing accomplishing a task.

  • A “smart notebook” for those who like to write down notes and ideas but need the data to end up in digital format.
  • A bird feeder with a built-in camera to watch wildlife up close and record their behavior.
  • A high-tech meat thermometer to quickly and accurately find out how close your grilling is to being done.
  • A biometric safe case/lock box that you can carry but will only open for you.

The list goes on. Considering what someone may need to be replaced might help.  Happy shopping!
