Breakfast with the City Managers

In 2010, the Southwest Riverside County Association of REALTORS® hosted its first annual Breakfast with the City Managers event. SRCAR created this event to give its members an insight into what was happening in each local city, including housing plans, future development plans, and economic growth opportunities. The city managers from each local city gave a brief overview of these areas in their presentation, then stayed for a moderated Q&A session with questions from the audience.

For the first few years, the event was held at the SRCAR office in Murrieta, growing to an audience of 120. As the event gained popularity, we needed to find a larger space to hold the event. We later moved to South Coast Winery to accommodate an audience of up to 300 but remained exclusive to our members. It didn’t take long for us to outgrow our venue once again.

In 2023, we moved the event to Pechanga and, for the first time, opened up registration to the public. We were delighted to sell out with an audience of 500 attendees! We will return to Pechanga in 2024 and will be open to the public again. We are sure to sell out again, so don’t wait to get registered!

Our first events featured five city presentations; we have since grown to six. The half-day event features presentations from Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, and Wildomar. Each city manager delivers a 20-minute presentation and then participates in a moderated question-and-answer panel before the event’s conclusion. Attendees can fill out question cards and direct questions to an individual city manager, multiple city managers, or all city managers.

We have always heard great feedback from our attendees and the city managers. In fact, the city managers look forward to this event almost as much as the attendees!

The 2024 Breakfast with the City Managers event is quickly approaching and will be held on February 22 at Pechanga. In addition to general seating, we also have many sponsorship opportunities available. With over 500 guests expected this year, sponsoring is a great way to gain visibility to a huge audience spanning across Southwest Riverside County.

If you have questions about the event or want to learn more about our sponsorship opportunities, please get in touch with Jennifer Smith, SRCAR Director of Events, at 951-894-2571 or by email at We look forward to seeing you in February!
