The City of Temecula honors and recognizes active military personnel by hanging banners which display the official military photo of the service person, as well as their name, rank, and branch of the United States Armed Forces.
The City now invites business owners to acknowledge and honor the sacrifices made by Purple Heart recipient service men and women by allocating a distinct designated parking space at your place of business.
To be eligible, the city’s minimum parking requirements must be met. “Reserved Combat Wounded” parking signs will be provided to business owners by the City of Temecula at cost ($108 per sign). The top portion measures 18″ x 12″ while the lower portion measures 12″ x 9″. Each business owner will be responsible for providing a sign post (if needed), brackets and installation. It is not the intent to replace existing ADA parking stalls, but rather designate a place of honor for these service men and women.
Download the application form from the city website at www.cityoftemecula.org and type Combat Wounded in the Search box.
Submit the completed application and attachments to: maria.hilton@cityoftemecula.org
You will be notified of approval and can purchase the sign at City Hall, 41000 Main Street. The cashier will accept VISA, MasterCard, cash or check.
