Volunteer of the Year is one of Assistance League’s most important awards. The membership has the opportunity to vote for the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ from a list which includes the names of all members that have received recognition in the current year. This year, two members tied for this award.
Annette Sheehy has been a member for nine years. She has received several recognitions and has served as Education chairman on the Board of Directors. She has served on several committees and is currently Operation School Bell chairman. Annette’s organizational and educational skills have resulted in a great year for Operation School Bell.
Electra joined Assistance League in 1999. She has been presented with numerous awards and has served on the Board of Directors as President, Secretary, Membership, Education, Public Relations and Bylaws chairman. Electra also publishes the chapter newsletter, is the chapter website administrator, publishes the marketing email and is a very active Community Ambassador.
Assistance League is a 501(c) (3) volunteer organization serving the families of Southwest Riverside County since 1989. Revenue from the Assistance League Thrift Shop, 28720 Via Montezuma, Temecula, is the main source of funding for their philanthropic programs.
