Patsy Orr, the 2013-14 president of the Rotary Club of Murrieta effective July 1, 2013, has announced the officers and directors who will serve the club and community in the coming year. President-elect is Craig Carper while Al Volbrecht is president-nominee. Frank Donahoe is the immediate past president. Secretary is George Steele and Pete Palmer will serve as treasurer.
Club Directors are: Rick Jemison, club administration: Jim Yanoschik, foundation; John Brown, membership; Bob Davies, avenues of service; and Linda Dozier, public relations. Club committee chairs are: LouEllen Ficke, community service; Jeannette Hartmann, youth service, and Dennis McCarbery, vocational service. Don Lunday is sergeant at arms. Also serving the club is Bob Bryant as Field of Honor chair.
Chartered on April 28, 1992, the club serves the City of Murrieta and surrounding area through programs like the annual Field of Honor in November, sponsorship of junior and high school-level Rotary clubs, scholarships for graduating seniors, participation in the Salvation Army’s ChildSpree, music competitions, grants for teachers and a Valentine’s Gala for special needs adults.
