Laurel Miller, one of the highest grossing sales franchisees in The Dwyer Group system with her Glass Doctor location at 26015 Jefferson Avenue in Murrieta. She is someone females can learn from when contemplating trades as a viable career path.
Laurel bought the Glass Doctor franchise just before the country’s economy took a turn for the worse. While it was a very challenging environment to run a new small business, she worked really hard for every job and credits her success to this persistence and dedication.
“My success comes from my desire to be connected to the community. I’m able to work and service our friends and neighbors and that’s been tremendous for our business,” said Miller. “Giving back has also been part of my business culture. I belong to a lot of organizations in town, and as of this year, sit on the board with the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce. I’m also on the board for Professional Women’s Round Table, an organization mentoring young girls. Being an asset to the female business community is very important to me.”
Laurel is a successful franchisee in a male-dominated industry and has achieved incredible personal and professional goals in an environment less-than-advantageous to females. Miller just purchased a new unit in a building in town, and will be transferring her Glass Doctor office by the end of the summer. She currently has nine employees, and is looking to hire a couple more technicians. Not only has Glass Doctor done extremely well because of committed and hard-working franchisees like Laurel, but The Dwyer Group will enjoy progressive expansion in California to fuel demand that owners like Laurel are generating.
