Azusa Pacific University (APU) Murrieta Regional Center and KATY 101.3, The Mix, are teaming up to honor some of the hardest working people in Riverside County, our school teachers! Each day, teachers make a difference in their communities, one child at a time. They bring hope, encouragement, and the ability to dream beyond the four walls of the classroom, enabling students to become change agents in the world around them.
Once a month, Teachers Are Heroes will recognize a teacher who personifies dedication to their students. Each honoree will win great prizes from The Mix Closet and a classroom pizza party from The Pizza Factory in Temecula. All selected teachers and their classes will attend a celebration at the end of the year at the popular Lake Elsinore Storm.
To nominate a teacher, fill out and submit the entry form listed on the KATY 101.3 website (http://www.1013themix.com/) in the Contest Section. The entry can also be mailed to: “Teachers Are Heroes,” 27431 Enterprise Circle West, Suite 101, Temecula, CA 92590. To comply with Federal guidelines, a parent or legal guardian must fill out and submit the entry form if the student is age 17 years or younger.
