Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez will be the guest speaker at two notable organizations in November. On Thursday, November 14th she will be addressing the Women’s Peer Connection at Claim Jumper in Temecula. Then, on November 19th, she’ll meet with the Temecula Valley Republican Women (TVRWF) at Wilson Creek Winery.
Melendez states that taxpayers and businesses are under assault by Sacramento. “I’m fighting to stop runaway spending, cut taxes, repeal overbearing mandates, and make our state competitive again.”
She is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a Russian Translator in Naval Intelligence. Additionally, she was one of the first women approved to fly reconnaissance missions overseas. Melendez left the Navy after 10 years and built a successful business while earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
As Mayor of Lake Elsinore, she led the fight to cut business taxes, balance the budget, pass fiscally conservative pension reform and eliminate the city’s debt load. Melissa Melendez represents the 67th Assembly District which includes the communities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar and a portion of Hemet.
The Women’s Peer Connection’s November meeting will be on Thursday, November 14th, at Claim Jumper Restaurant at Rancho California Road and Ynez in Temecula. TVRWF’s November meeting is on Tuesday, November 19th in the Champagne Ballroom at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula. The cost of the luncheon is $20 and payment is collected at the check-in table in the ballroom.
