Craig Carper, 2014-15 president of the Rotary Club of Murrieta, announced the officers and directors who will serve the club and community in the coming year.
Al Vollbrecht will be president-elect and Mike Stromsoe will be president-nominee and foundation director. Patsy Orr will be the immediate past president. George Steele will serve as Secretary and Pete Palmer will be Treasurer.
Club Directors will be: Lou Ellen Ficke, service projects: Bob Brown, membership; Vickie Ashmore, administrative service, and Linda Dozier, public relations.
Carper said his goals are to embody Rotary International’s 2014-2015 theme of Light Up Rotary through the club’s many local community and international projects, to look for more opportunities to serve, and to have lots of fun along the way. “Our Club has over 20 years of proud service to the community. I am honored and excited to serve our membership as President in the coming year!” said Carper.
The club serves the City of Murrieta and surrounding area, plus is involved in international projects in cooperation with Rotary International which has as its ongoing theme “Service Above Self.” Chartered on April 28, 1992, the Murrieta Club is known for several signature projects including the Murrieta Field of Honor, dental examinations in Murrieta schools and the annual Valentines Ball for developmentally challenged adults.
