On September 11th, Women’s Peer Connection’s speaker will be Esther Phahla. Esther will share her journey of how growing up In South Africa shaped her to be the businesswoman she is today by speaking on ‘Imagining the Possibilities.’
She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Tax Coach and holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Law degree from South Africa. Esther was selected as the 2013 honoree for one of the ‘25 Most Powerful Women in Public Accounting Awards’ by the CPA Practice Advisor.
She is also the best-selling co-author of a tax planning book “Why Didn’t My CPA Tell Me That?” Esther is the recipient of the ‘2014 Lead by Example Award’ given by the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants to an individual for innovations in women’s programs and recognizing women in strong leadership positions. She was also awarded the ‘2013-2014 Excellence in Marketing Award’ by Toastmasters International in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August for her contributions to her District in achieving the elite status of becoming a Distinguished District.
Her business was recognized by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce with the ‘2013 Sterling Business of the Year.’ In 2012, Toastmasters District 12 awarded her the Division Governor of the Year and the Lydia Boyd Leadership Excellence Team Award for her team achieving 1st President’s Distinguished Division. In 2013, she was recognized by the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce with the ‘40 under Forty’ for her outstanding achievements and community service. Esther is also a Black Belt in Martial Arts through the American Taekwondo Association.
Esther is active in the community through Toastmasters International, Rotary Club of Temecula, Susan G. Komen Inland Empire, Temecula Chamber of Commerce, Murrieta Chamber of Commerce as well as the Women’s Peer Connection.
