Azusa Pacific University Hosts Graduate/Credential Information Meeting

Wondering why you should become a teacher? Just ask a teacher and you will get lots of great reasons. Teaching provides the opportunity to impact the lives of children, to inspire students personally and academically, and teaching also provides a chance to change the future.

To learn how to start your path to a fulfilling career in both general education and special education you are invited to attend the free Graduate/Credential Information Meeting at Azusa Pacific University Murrieta Regional Center. The event will be held on Thursday, October 2nd from 6:00 pm. to 7:30 pm. Attendees will receive specific information about APU’s graduate and credential programs, admissions requirements, and application process.  Attendees will hear about financial aid options that are available, as well as scholarship and grant opportunities to fund their studies at APU.

The meeting will take place at Azusa Pacific University’s new state-of-the-art regional center located at 40508 Murrieta Hot Springs Road (to the right of Sam’s Club) in Murrieta.  A light dinner will be served.

As one of the largest credential-granting private institutions in California, APU produces credentialed teachers who are professionally prepared to provide quality educational programs that effectively meet the needs of the children and youth in public and private schools, and who are heavily recruited by school districts throughout California and other states.

APU’s School of Education (SOE) values the importance of developing programs of distinction and academic integrity.  APU is accredited by the Western Assoc. of Schools & Colleges (WASC). The SOE is also accredited by the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTS) and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Ed. (NCATE).   Meeting these accreditations enables APU to prepare teachers for new, more rigorous state licensing, and sets graduates apart from other candidates on a global scale.

APU is a Yellow Ribbon University and a Service members Opportunity College. For the second consecutive year, APU has been named a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine.

If you are unable to attend the Information Meeting we would be glad to arrange a one-on-one consultation. To RSVP for the event, please contact Rachel Jacobs, Program Representative, at 951-304-3400 or rjacobs@apu.edu.   To learn more about APU and these programs visitwww.apu.edu/murrieta.
