Senator Jeff Stone Announces Initial Staff Line Up

Experienced Staff Ready to Serve the 28th District

Senator Jeff Stone (R-28th District) today announced his initial staff line-up to serve the people of the 28th Senate District which covers Southwest Riverside County and the Coachella Valley. The 28th District is wholly contained in Riverside County and stretches from the Orange County border to Arizona. The district is roughly the size of New Jersey and represents nearly 1 million California residents.

The staff of Senator Stone will include the following individuals:

Christopher Wysocki (Chief of Staff) – Mr. Wysocki has served in various senior level positions in the State Legislature. His experience includes serving as a Deputy Chief of Staff to numerous Senate and Assembly Republican Leaders in addition to having served as President of a small business advocacy organization based in Washington, DC. Mr. Wysocki also was a partner in a prominent government affairs and political consulting firm based in Sacramento.

Glenn Miller (District Director) – Mr. Miller brings a wealth of experience in local government and is currently the Mayor Pro Tem in the City of Indio. In addition to his public duties, Mr. Miller has an extensive resume including serving as a certified Golf Course Superintendent and has built and maintained some of the most prestigious golf courses in Southern California. His prior work on numerous state, regional and local government agencies, boards and commissions has earned him a reputation of being one of the hardest working public officials in the Coachella Valley.

Maryann Edwards (Western Office Director) – Ms. Edwards is the current Mayor of Temecula and previously served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest County. In addition to her experience as a local elected official and the head of a local non-profit organization, Ms. Edwards has a long record of civic involvement including serving as a Director of the Temecula Theatre Foundation and being active in the local Rotary Club.

Chris Norden (Legislative Director) – Mr. Norden brings a wealth of experience on legislation and legislative procedure to the office of Senator Stone. A graduate of CSU Sacramento and in possession of a Masters Degree in Public Administration from USC, Mr. Norden has worked as a press secretary, a field representative and a legislative director for numerous state officials. Immediately prior to joining Senator Stone’s staff, Mr. Norden served as the Legislative Director for Senator Jim Nielsen.

Brittny Garcin (Legislative Aide/Scheduler) – Mrs. Garcin joins the Capitol office of Senator Jeff Stone after working for Gilliard, Blanning & Associates for the last six years. She has spent the last decade in government and politics working as a political consultant, production manager, fundraiser, media buyer, and on multiple local and statewide Republican campaigns. Her experience in managing a busy office environment and juggling responsibilities makes her an ideal choice to serve as a senior scheduler for Senator Stone.

John Hunneman (Communications Director) – Mr. Hunneman joins the office of Senator Stone after having been a well-respected journalist in Southwest Riverside County for over 20 years. His experience includes being a reporter and columnist for The Californian and the Riverside Press Enterprise since 1993. Prior to his time as a print journalist, Mr. Hunneman served as a reporter for KFRG and News Director for KRTM. Mr. Hunneman will be based in Riverside County and will handle print, electronic and social media for Senator Stone.

Jesse Ramirez (Representative) – Mr. Ramirez has been active in Riverside County’s education system for the past several years. His work with the Corona Norco Unified School District focused on helping troubled youths and students with autism. As a bilingual facilitator for a local nonprofit agency, Mr. Ramirez helped provide resources to low income families in Riverside County. He is also actively involved with the Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council.

Debbie Herrera (Representative) – Ms. Herrera has lived in Southwest Riverside County for more than 15 years and has been active in the local community through her service in the Temecula Rotary Club and the Murrieta Temecula Group. Having spent the last 25 years in the legal field, Ms. Herrera brings a solid background of community service and legal expertise to the office of Senator Stone.

Megan Locke (Representative) – Ms. Locke has been an active member of the Lake Elsinore community for most of her life, and her experience as a small business owner gives her a valuable perspective when representing Senator Stone in the Southwest Riverside area. In addition to her civic involvement and small business background, Ms. Locke has close relationships with many local elected officials across Southwest Riverside County.

Greg Pettis (Representative) – Mr. Pettis has lived in Cathedral City since 1979, and he is currently serves as Mayor Pro-Tem of the city. A licensed realtor, Mr. Pettis has also been actively involved in numerous boards and commissions including the Riverside County Transportation Commission and the Southern California Association of Governments. His civic involvement includes being active in the Cathedral City Rotary Club, the Desert Business Association and the Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy.

Robert Masson (Volunteer Representative/Public Safety Issues) – Mr. Masson has been a law enforcement officer for the past 26 years and is currently the President of the Riverside Sheriffs’ Association. His career with the Riverside County Sheriff’s office has involved numerous assignments including the Special Investigations Bureau / Central Homicide Unit, where he has investigated and assisted in over 200 homicides, officer involved shootings, and suspicious deaths. Mr. Masson will work as a volunteer field representative for Senator Stone.

Gloria Sanchez (Volunteer Representative/Senior Issues) – Ms. Sanchez has been a senior advocate for the past 20 years and has a long record of involvement in Riverside County. She chairs the City of Menifee Senior Advisory Commission in addition to being the President of the Riverside County Foundation on Aging and the Chair of the Riverside County Advisory Council on Aging. Ms. Sanchez will work as a volunteer field representative for Senator Stone.
