Finders Keepers

Scott Shirey, a local resident with a passion for American history and a love for our great nation brings Americana to Murrieta. If you’ve ever watched the show on the History Channel called American Pickers, then you can understand exactly what Scott does. He travels the country looking for those pieces that tell a story. “If some of our pieces could talk, the lessons we could learn from them would be astounding,” says Scott. “We have a little bit of everything at Finders Keepers”. If you are looking for that special piece to add to your Man Cave or Diva Den, you can probably find it at Finders Keepers. We are always looking for that unusual and unique item to add to one’s collection

.

After 23 years in the auto industry, Scott decided to try something new. With a lifetime passion for American history, opening a store to feature these items seemed like the perfect fit! Him and his wife Kelly, put their heads together and came up with the concept of Finders Keepers Vintage and Thrift. Scott who has always been into old cool things and going to flea markets since he was a kid, thought it would be an easy transition. Scott started with thrift items and started doing storage auctions to fill the thrift side of the business. Once business started, he quickly realized that the thrift portion of the store was not keeping up with the vintage. So in January, 2015, he made the decision to go all vintage and collectibles and now the store is completely full of exclusive items, some of which are irreplaceable. Scott also has vintage upcycled items which are vintage items made into unique pieces such as an end table that is currently in the store that was made of the wheels off an old Model T Ford and a lamp made out of an old fire extinguisher.

So, if you are looking for that unique piece to complete your collection, or that conversation piece to accent a room, come meet the friendly staff at Finders Keepers Vintage & Collectibles. Finders Keepers is located in Murrieta, at the corner of Madison and Murrieta Hot Springs Road next to Tom’s Mega Burgers and Wells Fargo Bank. The address is 25285 Madison Avenue, Murrieta.
