The Economic Development Corporation of Southwest California (EDC) is proud to announce the winners of their Signature Awards at the Annual Signature Awards Presentation (ASAP) held on February 18, 2015 at Temecula Creek Inn. The event featured seven awards in six categories.
The 2014 Signature Business Award was presented to Pechanga Development Corporation. This award is given to a business that has had a significant impact on the region through increased tax base, creation or maintenance of jobs, or relevance to economic sustainability. The other nominees for the award were Lake Elsinore Storm, Richardson’s RV, Temecula Valley Hospital, and South Coast Winery Resort & Spa.
The 2014 Premier Economic Partner Award went to California State University San Marcos at Temecula. This honor is given to an EDC member exhibiting distinguished activities in the EDC and demonstrated dedication to increasing economic activity in the region. The other nominees named in this category were JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc., and The Branding Hive.
The 2014 Best Emerging Business Award recognized a business that has demonstrated creativity, growth, and established itself as a leader in its industry. Vying for excellence in this category were Lake Elsinore Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram, Provecho Grill, Puzzle Piece, Temecula Valley Winery Management, Inviscid Software, Hawk Analytics, Temecula Valley Hospital and ACES Comedy Club. Temecula Valley Winery Management garnered the most votes in this category.
Datatronics, Inc., Puzzle Piece, Energy Retrofit Company, Southern California Edison and KTM North America were nominated for the Most Innovative Award which identifies a business that has achieved overall achievement in product, marketing, sales, manufacturing, and/or management through innovation. Southern California Edison, Wildomar was the recipient of this award.
Temecula Valley Hospital was awarded the 2014 Most Notable Investment & Development Award for an individual or organization that has made a monetary investment into the region through real estate procurement expansion, acquisition, adaptation, and/or restructuring of products, services, or process. Nominees for this award included Lake Elsinore Outlets, Pechanga Development Corporation, Temecula Valley Hospital and Truax Development Group.
The 2014 Outstanding Sustainable Businesses of the Year are Linfield Christian School and Ambassador Energy, Inc. These two companies were recognized as having sustained its organization through expansion, acquisition, adaption and/or reconstruction of products, services, or processes to remain competitive in their industry. Other nominees included Bush Fire Grill, California Cart Builder, Murrieta Day Spa, Thermal Electronics, BW Auto Ventures (Temecula Hyundai), CR & R Waste & Recycling Services, Datatronics, Inc., EMD Millipore, II-IV Optical Systems, and JS Technologies.
