Spring Opening Set for New Hemet Sizzler

Local Owners Expanding Popular Restaurant, Will Debut New Food and Features

BMW Management, Sizzler’s largest franchise group, has broken ground on a new restaurant at 4762 W. Florida Ave. in Hemet. Scheduled to open this spring, it will replace the current Sizzler at 1023 E. Florida Ave. in Hemet, which it acquired in 1995. BMW operates 22 Sizzler restaurants in California and is operated by Gary and Sally Myers of Temecula.

The new 8,000 square foot, 250-seat restaurant, which the Myers calls the “New Generation Sizzler,” will be 40 percent larger than the current location. Modeled after BMW’s flagship restaurant in Murrieta, it will feature a new upscale design and décor.

“The Hemet-San Jacinto area has been very loyal to Sizzler over the years, and in fact, many guests have even been driving to Murrieta because they enjoy the New Generation Sizzler so much,” said Gary Myers, BMW president and CEO. He added that BMW looked into remodeling the current restaurant, but the location and parking were not sufficient. “We really want to give our guests the all-new, best-in-class restaurant and experience that they deserve,” he added.

The new location’s workforce will be approximately 60 percent larger than the current restaurant’s. BMW will host a job fair in early spring to hire additional staff.

Along with Sizzler’s famous fresh, hand-cut daily, never frozen USDA Choice steaks and signature Salad Bar, several new menu items and dining features will be introduced.

“Building and opening a large restaurant represents a very significant investment,” Myers said. “The decision to expand in Hemet shows how much faith and confidence we have in the Hemet-San Jacinto area and in the Sizzler brand.”

Sally Myers, Vice President of Marketing, founded the Student of the Month Program, Inc. in 1992 which honors outstanding high school college-bound students in Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore and Perris/Menifee. Today, BMW is a sponsor in the Hemet-San Jacinto program that was patterned off her program of 22 years.

BMW has received the prestigious Spirit of Entrepreneurship and the Best of the Best awards given by the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino, the Temecula Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award and the Perris Hero in Education award.

The real estate transaction was brokered by Bryce Myers with Legendary Restaurants, Inc. who exclusively represents BMW Management. The exact opening date will be announced in the Spring.
