Executive Profile – Julie Ngo

Owner and Agent of the Julie Ngo Agency State Farm Insurance since January 2006, Julie started in the insurance industry in January of 2000 and found it to be a fascinating world. After several years in the corporate environment, she decided it was time to venture out and open up an agency. She interviewed with several companies and decided her passion and commitment to her clients mirrored those of State Farm. Julie’s agency consists of 5 dedicated team members that share in her philosophy of client-centric service.

Community Involvement

As a student of Servant Leadership, Julie believes that the power of community starts with the individual. She serves because she doesn’t know any other way to live life. As a child in a Buddhist household, her faith taught her “to do good, be good and bring good to the world”. Her belief is that this giving should transcend to her team in the agency. You will see her team members by her side at many events helping too.

Mentors

Without question, Raphael Silverman and his family are her mentors. She says, ‘he taught me everything I know about owning and running a business, being a good spouse and parent and understanding the need to be involved. He believed in a crazy, lost 19 year old college dropout and gave her direction, passion and a purpose. His family became my family and they helped me mend my broken bridges with my family. I am fully aware that this would not be the life I very intentionally lead without his guidance and his family’s love, support and belief in me,” Julie said.

“Also, my parents are my mentors. They instilled a foundation of hard work, love of family and love of faith in me that guided me when I was lost. It allowed me to be open to learning and to love. This allowed the countless people that were intentionally placed in my life to guide me to be the woman I am today.”

“And of course, my maternal grandparents, who have left this life but continue to dote on me every day. They taught me about sacrifice and love of country, love of family and the passion and gratefulness for a life that this beautiful America gave us all,” she added.

Favorite Reading

I’d love to say I’m a reader of business books, but I’m more of a seminar person. Though, the E-Myth did change my business life.

Favorite Pastime

My family, friends and the time I get to spend with them is my favorite pastime. Always enjoy shopping too. So, now, my family, my friends at my favorite mall? That’s a little slice of heaven to me!

Birthplace

I was born in Saigon, Vietnam. I arrived at Camp Pendleton in 1975 and stayed in San Diego most of my life. Five years ago, I was lucky enough to call Temecula home.
