Ted Saul has lived in Murrieta for the last twelve years. In the mid-70’s he would venture down the two- lane Highway 395 from Corona to visit friends in what was then Rancho California. “Being used to the hustle of Orange County, I vowed that I would never live in this area”. Well those friends have moved on, and after fourteen years in Colorado, he relocated to Temecula Valley with his wife and three children. “Never say never”. While in Colorado Ted added to his technical skills and obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Regis University.

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY
Pay it forward by helping others. I have found contentment in helping others succeed without expecting a return. I attempted to start a business consulting firm to help aspiring entrepreneurs with launching their dreams. As the market took a downturn and investment funds became scarce I found that paying for this service was out of reach for many. But freely sharing my knowledge and experience with others provides as much satisfaction. It’s a reason I write for the Business Journal. If it gets a few people thinking differently about their business, then it’s worth it.
FAVORITE SPORT
I’m into active outdoor sports although I admit I am a frustrated Cub fan from way back. Today I’d rather be surfing, skiing, hiking or mountain biking. Though not a sport, I am a musician of 40+ years playing bass and guitar mostly in the Christian genre.
GOALS
Develop a business to deliver a valued service using my experience and creativity with others. If I had my way, it would be online and involve some type of writing while revolving around music, outdoors or aviation. And I have a goal to keep myself in shape to ski Mammoth at 80. I heard that lift tickets are free at that age.
MENTORS
I’ve been fortunate to have worked with and for numerous talented people who have taught me business and life skills. One that comes to mind is Sandra Kurtzig a pioneer of Silicon Valley and currently CEO of Kenandy. I also learned a great deal about integrity from my father, a pastor and in his later years, businessman.
FAVORITE READING
I enjoy reading coaching books from authors like John Townsend and Steven Covey. But I also follow many blogs by writers like Michael Hyatt. And I read to keep my technical skills sharp.
RESUME
My past includes IT Management for a manufacturing firm as well as consultant analyst for software firms. I have spent many years in customer support. Currently my roles is a senior Quality and Process Improvement Program Manager for a large computer firm. And for you readers of the Valley Business Journal a regular contributor.
