Temecula Valley Entrepreneurs Exchange – June Events

The City of Temecula’s Temecula Valley Entrepreneurs Exchange (TVE2) is pleased to announce the following events scheduled for June.

June 10th: TVE2 Pitch Practice. 11:30am-1:00pm. Calling all tech startup entrepreneurs – come and practice your pitch in a fun and friendly environment. June 11th: IE SBDC Loans for Your Business. 9:00am-12:00pm. If you need a business loan, but aren’t quite sure which loan you need, you won’t want to miss this seminar. Designed to give you the information you need to prepare for the loan process, you will hear firsthand from actual lenders about the various loan programs available, the different requirements and qualifications for each, and how to secure the right financing for your business. June 11th: Tri-Tech SBDC CEO Storytelling. 5:30pm-7pm. Every CEO has a different story to tell, and each story adds new insights and ideas for our own businesses. Join us to hear from BJ Fazeli, a serial entrepreneur. For the past 20 years, Mr. Fazeli has lead his business, BJ Global in Irvine, focusing on designing products to producing infomercials to sell those products, to buying media time or space to servicing customers after the sale. June 23nd: Board of Equalization: Basic Sales & Use Tax/Tax Prep Tips. 9:00am-11:00am. Gain an understanding of Use Tax, District Tax, taxable and non-taxable labor, sales to government, foreign and interstate taxability, and sales to and by non-profits. Learn if you need a Sellers Permit and how to use a Resale Certificate. Discover what exemptions and deductions are available to you as you navigate through the intricacies of what is and is not taxable. Get step-by-step instruction on filing a Sales and Use Tax Return electronically with the Board of Equalization. Learn how to figure District Tax and when it’s applicable to your sales.
