It takes an entire community to ensure that blood is available for patients like ten-year-old Chance Mitchell of Temecula and his seven-year-old sister, Cadence. And, it takes generous financial contributors like San Diego County Credit Union to help the San Diego Blood Bank fulfill its mission of supplying donated blood for youngsters like these siblings, who lives depend on it.
Chance and Cadence were both born with congenital heart defects and have an ongoing need for donated blood during their numerous corrective surgeries. In addition, their mom, Melissa, also faces similar heart surgery this year that will also require blood.
San Diego County Credit Union’s leadership role as a community partner of the San Diego Blood Bank sets an excellent example for other business leaders in the Southwest County and shows the local community that San Diego County Credit Union cares about Temecula and the Inland Valley.
The San Diego Blood Bank is grateful to San Diego County Credit Union for their generosity, compassion and willingness to help. We put their gifts to the best possible use, saving lives.
