Economic Development Coalition (EDC) Announces Signature Awards Winners

The Economic Development Coalition (EDC) is proud to announce the winners of their ‘2015 Signature Awards’ at the Annual Signature Awards Presentation (ASAP) held on March 9th at Temecula Creek Inn.  The event featured eight awards. Scoring for each category was very close.

The Signature Business of 2015 Award was presented to Millipore Sigma.  This award is given to a business that has had a significant impact on the region through increased tax base, creation or maintenance of jobs, or relevance to economic sustainability.  The other nominees for the award were Abbott Vascular, HelioPower, Inc., King Law Firm, My Choice in Home Care, Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac, Residence Inn by Marriott, and Temecula Valley Hospital.

The Economic Partner of 2015 Award went to The Valley Business Journal.  This honor is given to an EDC member exhibiting distinguished activities in the EDC and demonstrated dedication to increasing economic activity in the region.  The other nominees named in this category were JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc., Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and The Branding Hive.

The Emerging Business of Southwest California Award recognized a business that has demonstrated creativity, growth, and established itself as a leader in its industry.  Vying for excellence in this category were Backyard Bottleshop & Taproom, BBQ Grill Outlet, Carter Estate Winery & Resort, Continental East Development, E.A.T. Marketplace & Eatery, King Law Firm, My Choice In Home Care, Newman Tax & Resolutions, Inc., Paradise Buick GMC, Santa Rosa Academy, Seawide Marine Distribution, Inc., Upper Limit Aviation, Walz Group, and West Coast Wine Compliance .

Free Flow Engine Coolers, Inc., Hawk Analytics, Inc., King Law Firm, New Life Culinary Creations, Temecula Valley Hospital, Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac, RTN Development, and TORQ F1T were nominated for the Innovative Business of 2015 Award which identifies a business that has achieved overall achievement in product, marketing, sales, manufacturing, and/or management through innovation.  Hawk Analytics, Inc. was the recipient of this award.  My Choice in Home Care garnered the most votes in this category.

The Truax Group was awarded the 2015 Most Notable Investment & Development Award for an individual or organization that has made a monetary investment into the region through real estate procurement expansion, acquisition, adaptation, and/or restructuring of products, services, or processes. Nominees for this award included HelioPower, Inc. Paradise Buick GMC, Rancon Real Estate Corporation, Rich Development Co., RTN Development, Sunpro Solar.

The 2015 Outstanding Businesses of the Year are King Law Firm, Law Office of Robin Johnson, and Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac.  These three companies were recognized as having sustained its organization through expansion, acquisition, adaption and/or reconstruction of products, services, or processes to remain competitive in their industry. Other nominees included NZN Labs, RTN Development, TORQ F1T, ADTI Media, Alliance Outdoor Lighting, Inc., American Medical Response (AMR), Lake Elsinore Outlets, My Choice In Home Care, Rightway Portable Toilets, Sunpro Solar, The Jet Center, West Coast Chauffeur & Transportation, Infineon Technologies Corp., and Pechanga Development Corp.
