The Temecula Valley Learning Forum meets the first Tuesday of the month at Mercedes-Benz of Temecula located at 40910 Temecula Center Drive in Temecula from 9:00 – 10:00 am. The mission of The Temecula Valley Learning Forum is to provide a platform to keep our local community informed of issues, such as health care, taxes, local government, tourism, expansion and development that directly affect them.
John Kelliher is co-founder, along with his wife Kim, of two Temecula-based businesses: Grapeline Wine Tours, and Stryder Transportation. Grapeline, a Temecula Business of the Year in 2005 and 2014, provides wine tasting tours in Temecula, Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, Sonoma and Napa. Stryder Transportation provides executive and group transportation throughout Southern California, operating a fleet of 20 vehicles ranging from executive SUV’s to 40-passenger buses.
For the past decade, John has served on the board of Visit Temecula Valley, including two years as Chairman.
Visit Temecula Valley is the official destination marketing organization of Temecula Valley. In May, 2016, Governor Brown appointed John to the board of the California Travel and Tourism Commission, publicly known as Visit California. Visit California is the official destination marketing organization for the state, with a 2016 budget of $118 million.
John has been active in many community organizations, including the Murrieta Temecula Group, the Wine Country Entrepreneur Group, the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival, and Rotary International. In 2012 he was named Temecula’s Hospitality Professional of the Year, and in 2014 he was named Temecula’s Citizen of the Year.
John has been married to wife Kim for 25 years. The couple moved to Temecula in 1997, raised three boys here, and last year became empty-nesters.
