The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District’s (EVMWD) Board of Directors recognized five students for their water focused projects from the 2018 Lake Elsinore Unified School District Science Fair at a recent board meeting. Families and teachers were invited to a reception and ceremony that was held in honor of the students at the EVMWD Board Meeting, where they received trophies and prizes.
To be eligible for this special award, students must submit an outstanding project focused on water science. This year’s projects included topics ranging from magnetic pulses in water to solar stills.
The 2018 science fair contest winners included:
Aiden McColley “H2O Will Make it Grow” – Cottonwood Canyon Elementary
Diego Urzua “Ice Race” – Elsinore Elementary
Rechelle Resano “Which Type of Water Makes the Most Bubbles” – Ronald Reagan Elementary
Reilly Smith “Our Powerful Sun” – Cottonwood Canyon Elementary
Shane Bravo de Rueda “Magnetic Pulse in Different Types of Water” – Earl Warren Elementary
