Ever think about what it would be like to set yourself up for a new career or promotion while keeping your other responsibilities such as job and family in check? As Associate Dean of California State University San Marcos at Temecula (CSUSM-T), this is something I think about all the time.
Because we are the only public university serving Southwest Riverside County, I have seen first hand the way higher education favorably impacts and completely changes the lives of individuals, families and communities right here in the Temecula Valley. I believe it is our responsibility to provide you with meaningful, relevant and affordable education and training opportunities that set you up for success – and do so in a way that allows for work/life/school balance.
On Saturday March 5 from 10 am – 2 pm we are hosting a FREE event at our Margarita Road campus (43890 Margarita Road in Temecula ) that gives you the opportunity to learn about specific programs, speak to professors, students and alumni, meet with Academic Advisors and Financial Aid representatives and learn about the options that are available to you. Among the programs that will be covered are:
- Bachelor and Master degrees in Business
- Bachelor degrees in Nursing
- Professional certificates in Environmental Leadership, Operations Resource Management, Meeting & Event Planning, Wedding Planning, Beer/Wine/Spirits, and Business Emergency Preparedness Planning
- Bachelor degree in Kinesiology
- Bachelor degree in Criminology & Justice Studies
CSUSM-T alumni such as Amanda Maggio will be on hand to answer questions and provide background information. “For me, the differentiator at CSUSM-T was personalized classes that made it easy to learn and get the full attention of professors in a hands-on learning environment,” she says.
Faculty and administrators will also be present to speak about ways they work to help ensure student successes. “CSUSM at Temecula provides students with an excellent education and the applied learning and research opportunities that groom them to become effective practitioners,” say Dr. Janet Powell, Dean, College of Education, Health & Human Services at CSUSM.
Hope to meet you on Saturday March 5!
