Temecula Valley Entrepreneurs Exchange Events – March 2016

March 9th: TVE2 Pitch Practice. 11:30a.m.-1:00p.m.  Calling all entrepreneurs. Come and practice your pitch in a fun and friendly environment. March 10th: TVE2 CEO Storytelling. 5:30p.m.-7:00p.m.  Join us as Chris shares her story of becoming a coach, CEO, speaker, traveler, and author… not to mention running a young family! Chris is an instigator. Yes, this is a good thing….especially for those who are choosing to transform their lives or businesses and want to learn from someone who has done just that. March 17th: IE SBDC Workshop – QuickBooks for Beginners. 9:00am-12:00p.m.  Learn how to be more efficient and simplify your bookkeeping using QuickBooks Accounting Software. The QuickBooks for Beginners seminar will demonstrate functions useful for daily operations in your small business. Additional topics to be covered include Setting up Your System, Navigating QuickBooks Software, Organizing the Chart of Accounts, Computerized Balance & Income Sheets, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Daily Operations including Payment of Invoices & Creation of Customer Invoices. March 18th: IESBDC Workshop – Independent Contractor vs. Employee. 9:00am-12:30pm. As an employer you are faced with many challenges and responsibilities. It is to your advantage to know your obligations and understand the State payroll reporting requirements. Complying with the employment tax laws will help you avoid payroll tax problems. Join the CA State Employment Development Department for an informative seminar on California employment tax law and learn the factors that make a worker an employee; the basics of statutory employment; and the unique reporting requirements for independent contractors.
