Born in England and raised in Orange County, Romy Fazeli moved to Temecula Valley in 2013 ready to trade the pace of Los Angeles for a community where she could raise her kids and put down roots. She quickly fell in love with the Valley, not only as a place to raise a family, but as a community where relationships matter and people genuinely show up for one another.
Today, Romy brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, events, business development and community engagement to her role at Oak Grove Center, where the mission is to rebuild the lives of at risk children and their families through educating, healing, restoring relationships, building character and instilling hope. For Romy, the opportunity to use the skills she built throughout her career to support that mission has made this chapter of her professional life especially meaningful.
Romy’s career has always centered around creativity, connection, and building something from the ground up. Her early career was in marketing, product development, and television production, eventually leading her to launch her own marketing and production agency. After moving to Temecula, she joined her family’s business, Fazeli Cellars, founded by her father, BJ Fazeli. In 2016, she launched the winery’s Events and Weddings Department, growing it into a thriving operation of weddings, concerts, corporate events, and signature experiences.
Today, she brings that same energy to Oak Grove, building community partnerships, creating events, and raising awareness and funds to support the youth and families Oak Grove serves.
One of her proudest recent accomplishments is the SoCal Chef Open. This year’s event was Oak Grove Center’s biggest Chef Open yet, bringing together hundreds of guests along with local chefs, restaurants, wineries, breweries, and community partners. Funds raised support the Oak Grove Works Program, helping young people develop job skills, gain real world work experience, build confidence, and prepare for greater independence.
The response to this year’s event has been incredible, and Romy is already thinking about what comes next.
“Seeing our community come together for the Oak Grove kiddos makes all the work worth it. I can’t wait to start planning next year.”
Her commitment to Temecula Valley extends beyond Oak Grove. Romy serves as Chair of Shop Local Temecula Valley and Club Service Chair for the Rotary Club of Temecula. She is also proud to be part of A Day in Her Shoes, Oak Grove’s annual women’s leadership event, returning March 5, 2027. The event brings women together for a day focused on connection, inspiration, and empowering the next generation of female leaders—and Romy says the upcoming event is shaping up to be the best one yet.
Giving back is something Romy shares with her children, Ruby and Tommy. She loves getting them involved in her volunteer work, whether they are sorting Thanksgiving food baskets with Rotary or helping at community events. When she isn’t volunteering, she can usually be found watching Ruby sing and dance on stage or cheering for Tommy from the sidelines at football and lacrosse.
At home, the family also includes their dog, Lala, and a recently rescued kitten.
For Romy, Temecula has become much more than the place she chose to raise her children. It is home, and giving back to the community that has given her family so much is at the heart of what she does.
