National Merchants Association today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Borgun Bank of Reykjavik, Iceland, to provide payments processing services for merchants throughout Europe.
“Our partnership with Borgun Bank enables us to provide payments processing to European-based merchants of all risk levels. We are providing a variety of payments solutions, including mobile pay support, to help these merchants meet the evolving payments needs of their customers,” said Heather Petersen, CEO, National Merchants Association.
By expanding its presence in Europe, National Merchants Association will be on the forefront of the anticipated explosion in mobile wallet adoption in Europe. According to a new report from market research firm Smart Insights, the adoption of mobile wallet transactions in the European Union is expected to grow at a CAGR of 61.8 percent over 2016–2021.
National Merchants Association’s merchant services now available in Europe include card present, card not present, mobile pay support and cross-border payments, including currency conversions.
