December 2023 Class of Certified Fund Raising Executives Announced

Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center proudly announces their own Amber Berkey CFRE

CFRE International announces the most recent class of Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFREs). These 201 individuals join over 7,700 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation. Michelle’s Place would like to commend our very own Amber Berkey CFRE, Fundraising & Development Officer, for the hard work, dedication, and perseverance. We are so proud of her accomplishments!

Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, and demonstrated fundraising achievement for not-for-profit organizations. They have also passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.

About CFRE International

Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and led by a small professional staff, CFRE International consistently meets the highest standards for certification excellence. The CFRE credential is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

Kim Gerrish, Executive Director for Michelle’s Place shares, “I am so proud of Amber and her accomplishment of receiving her Certified Fund Raising Executive certification.  In the nonprofit industry, this is an achievement that is not easily earned.   It signifies her dedication to ethical fundraising, her passion for the industry and commitment to continued learning in the nonprofit space.  We are so fortunate to have Amber lead our fundraising and development efforts at Michelle’s Place.  Our donors, clients and volunteers can rest assured their contributions are valued and utilized in the most effective way.”
