Functional Training for Clients 50 Years and Older

As we age, flexibility, strength and balance naturally start to waver and without addressing these issues through proper physical conditioning we can find ourselves doing less in life.

With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, I special in functional training for clients 50 years of age and older. My goal as a personal training specialist is improving the quality of life of every client I work with and I let you, the client, define what that means – you tell me what your goals are and I will be your roadmap to achieving them. My programs consist of strength, balance, core, flexibility and cardiovascular training to achieve optimal health and wellness.

One of the main aspects of my training program is balance training. Balance is an area of physical fitness that is often overlooked, even though it is the cause of many accidents that lead to injury, such as falling.

Through my balance training program you will increase body awareness by safely practicing real life functional movements that cause instability. Through systematic training you will teach your muscular system and central nervous system how to react in a safe and appropriate manner when faced with movements or situations that may otherwise result in injury. The result is increased balance, strength and confidence when performing day-to-day activities.

In conjunction with physical training, I work on building relationships with my clients that are based on mutual trust, accountability and openness. I will teach you how to gain control over your health through techniques that are not overwhelming or intimidating. If you have a desire to improve your health and would likely try an approach that is proven to work, I would be more than happy to meet you in person so we can get you on the road to a healthier you!
