Temecula Valley Hospital received its certificate of occupancy from the Office of Statewide Planning and Development (OSHPD) just two years after construction began. According to hospital CEO and Managing Director Darlene Wetton, this is a major milestone because it means construction is complete and staff can move into the facility and begin training.
Wetton noted that a certificate of occupancy does not allow the hospital to receive or treat patients but it is a major step in that direction. “This certificate means construction of our new hospital is complete and now we can apply for hospital licensure.” She said there is no exact timeline for obtaining state license, but the hospital staff is doing all it can to move forward as quickly as possible.
