My name is Roger Ziemer and I’m asking for your vote on August 27th to serve you as a member of the Rancho California Water District Board of Directors. I am not a polished politician. On the contrary I am a plain spoken individual with many years of utility experience along with honed skills in the area of policy making and policy enforcement.
It’s a matter of fact, on average the human body is made up of 57 percent water, therefore ensuring a reliable, safe and affordable source of water is essential not only for maintaining a healthy body, but to support a thriving economy now and in the future.
Important issues I support:
• Increasing water supplies to Southern California and the RCWD
• Keeping water rates as low as possible while ensuring safe & adequate supplies
• Water reclamation and the use of non-potable water for irrigation
• Ensuring regional water supplies for our children’s future
• Sea and local water desalination
• Effective residential and business water efficiency & conservation programs
• Sacramento Delta Conveyance (bypass pipeline to Southern California)
• Ensuring public safety and a safe work environment for RCWD employees
I have 34 years of utility experience with Southern California Gas Company, related to the installation and maintenance of underground pipeline systems, energy efficiency programs and services, customer service and experience working with local, state & federal governments. I believe this makes me uniquely qualified to hit the ground running while working with fellow board members addressing and solving issues affecting safe and reliable water delivery to everyone in the Rancho California Water District.
