Supervisor-Elect Jeffries Announces Staff Positions

Supervisor-Elect Kevin Jeffries has released the names and duties of his future staff members. “When I am sworn in January 8th, I will be bringing my Chief of Staff Jeff Greene, as well as Kerstin Justus and Kristen Huyck from my Assembly Office,” said Jeffries.

 

“Lake Elsinore Mayor Bob Magee is one of my oldest friends and he will be doing our land use, development, and local transportation issues. Robin Reid has tremendous experience and insight with health and social services issues, and I worked with Thomas Ketcham in my volunteer fire service days, whose private sector experience and bilingual skills will be of great assistance in our Hispanic outreach as well as in other areas of constituent help. We are also retaining Elena Bautista and Kayla Benites from Supervisor Bob Buster’s staff, who will help in the office and provide some continuity in serving the constituents of the 1st District,” Jeffries added.

Kayla Benites—Legislative Intern: Kayla was selected to be a Legislative Intern by Supervisor Bob Buster, and will be retained by Supervisor Jeffries. She is currently a senior at UC Riverside, majoring in business administration. KBenites@RCBOS.org“>KBenites@RCBOS.org

Jeff Greene—Chief of Staff: Jeff served as Kevin Jeffries’ Chief of Staff in the State Assembly throughout his service in the legislature and will be the primary spokesperson for the office, handle media inquiries, and speak to community groups and organizations that want updates on county government. Kristen Huyck—Legislative Assistant: Kristen served as a Field Representative for Kevin Jeffries in the State Assembly for the last four years, and will serve as the education, special districts, OES and fire liaison for Kevin, as well as serving as the primary representative for most of the communities in the 1st District. Kerstin Justus—Scheduler/Office Manager: Kerstin served as primary scheduler and office manager throughout Kevin’s six years in the State Assembly. Based in the future Lake Elsinore District Office, she will continue those duties in the county. KJustus@RCBOS.org“>KJustus@RCBOS.org

Thomas Ketcham—Legislative Assistant: Served as a volunteer firefighter in Riverside County with Kevin, and has a variety of experiences as a small businessman. Bob Magee—District Director for Planning and Development: Lake Elsinore Mayor Bob Magee was just elected to his third term on the City Council. Robin Reid—Health and Human Services Advisor: Robin has been with the Riverside County Board of Supervisors since January 2005, handling issues in human and social services and will continue to be the primary staff liaison and policy advisor for those issues with Supervisor Jeffries.
